THE REVIEW ITSELF:

Tales2Inspire: The Agate Collection is a compact but powerful anthology built around one of humanity's most essential instincts: connection. The stories here span remarkable range. What unites them is that "reaching out" looks different in every story. Sometimes bold, sometimes anonymous, sometimes unexpected. That variety is precisely what makes this collection so affecting. These are award-winning stories for good reason: they earn their emotion honestly.

A beautifully human little book. Read it slowly.

ABOUT THE REVIEWER:

Jorge Barboza was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela in 1981, with a deep appreciation for his country's culture and Latin American history, which serves as a constant inspiration for his writings. As a young child, he cherished moments spent in a hammock by his grandfather's side, where he would regale him with stories while gently rocking him to sleep. His storytelling focused on the extraordinary achievements of ordinary individuals, and his narrative style influenced Jorge's own works, in aiming to provide readers with an uplifting, well-crafted, yet humble experience.

In 2007, Jorge was fortunate enough to win a Latin Grammy as a producer for the best music video, which opened doors for him to pursue his dreams in the USA, where he relocated in 2008. Since then, Jorge has had the honor of receiving recognition for his screenwriting, including being named a finalist and semifinalist in esteemed festivals such as Hollyshorts and Raindance.
