This book is OUTSTANDING and I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Although it's genre is Teen and Young Adult, all could benefit from reading this.

These authors are on the tip of being added to my very limited list of pedestal authors!

Brilliantly written addressing real issues teens of today face.

What an OUTSTANDING EMOTIONAL, COULDN'T PUT DOWN, PAGE TURNING read. I was hooked from Chapter 1 on. I completely fell in love with Esi and Carter and was so emotionally invested in this "grab boxes of Kleenex" story.

Truly touched my heart and soul. Esi and Carter are absolute soul mates and have a love and connection like no other.

Their story didn't just tug my heart strings, I seriously fell in love with these characters. I felt everything going on and had a HUGE lump in my throat throughout most of the story until I HAD to let the tears just fall. If I wasn't in a public setting I'm sure I would have cried my eyes out...THAT'S how emotion provoking it was for me. THESE ARE MY FAVORITE TYPES OF STORIES!

So beautifully written, K.S. Thomas did an incredible job. This is the first book I've read from this author and I REALLY hope she has written more of this type. Outstanding and can't wait to read more of her work. I very highly recommend reading this. It is a story that will stay in my heart forever.

Sometimes You Get More Than You Asked For

All I wanted was a good sci-fi story. Something to read in bed while trying to get sleepy. With this book you`ll never get any sleep. At least not until you`re finished reading it. Maybe not then either. This is the kind of story you keep thinking of. Reading this book was like an entire season of Star Trek (it`s far from Star Trek, but the story is equally strong). Believable characters and well written. This is the sort of book that sticks to your "memory chip" after reading it. You picture the book in your head while reading, which is not unusual, but it stays there. You keep thinking about the book, picturing scenes from the book. And when you finish reading it, you want more. As this is Volume 1, I think we`re in for more great stories by Michael J. Foy.

Danielle Stewart ALWAYS delivers and never ceases to amaze me! This is such a heartfelt and emotionally charged story that I felt such a strong personal connection to, not for the actual events, but rather the emotions when I needed it most.  I'm having a hard time putting my thoughts down here to let all know what this story means without giving away any of the storyline. 

Absolutely brilliantly written and this story shows that EVERY person handles life's trials and tribulations unique to that individual - we ALL handle things differently and that is okay, we are entitled to our own feelings.  What Danielle delivers not only in this story but EVERY story she has written is a strong message of HOPE!  Such a strong and incredible message for ALL to know exists...HOPE...

There was a particular scene in this story that I felt was written directly to ME, now THAT'S a connection!  I keep thinking about it over and over...it means so much and it's true!  (Sorry no giving away anything).

I absolutely highly recommend this book to everyone.  OUTSTANDING read Danielle!

The Lilac Princess authored by Wanda Luthman is a special book. There are many underlying positive life lessons in this childhood story. The setting is in a faraway land in a time long ago , with a princess named Dreama, a castle, a dragon, knights, and wars. What little girl wouldn't love this kind of story? Throw in many purple patches of forbidden lilac flowers and a true friend , who is a commoner named Derek and this is a tale of adventure and friendship. This story helps children respect boundaries, through the life lesson. It helps them understand the importance of forgiveness. It highlights friendship, loyalty, courage, dealing with loss, and a desire to explore the unknown . I highly recommend this book as a seasoned elementary teacher. It is a treasure of my grand daughter Anabelle's.

Having read the Crystal Collection, I pondered, "This book just managed to strike my funny bone, touch my heart and tickle my brain in one quick reading. A trifecta of good emotions in one collection of short stories. This collection of antidotes searches your body to find your ulnar nerve (funny bone). The ulnar is an easy target because it is the largest unprotected nerve in the human body. (Google it) Many of the stories smack your ulnar nerve forcing you to laugh-out-loud. Therefore, I highly recommend this book because it is very humorous or in body-language terms "very humerus."

Remembering When” is a sweet funny love story, a thoroughly satisfying read. Author Stern adds her own comical account of how a redhead proves she's a true redhead.

Each of the stories in this collection of humorous anecdotal tales is well-written, the authors are all contest winners and their work is edited to perfection. The lovely crystal on the book cover is perfect for these types of stories as some shine with brilliance, others are sharp and witty, and still others smooth and pleasant. But as the creator, Lois W. Stern writes, they are all ‘sparkling crystals of laughter.’ The type of stories in the Crystal collection is perfect reading while traveling or waiting for appointments. Just be careful where you chuckle or burst out laughing. Those enjoying this book in the Tales2 Inspire series will want to check out the other collections. I know I did.

Honoring Ann McGovern and Her Stone Soup

On occasion I just can't resist popping in my usual approach to letting authors, reviewers, and readers talk about the books they want to share with others.  Here is a little blurb from my newsletter about the death of a favorite writer and one of my favorite books:

I loved the children’s book Stone Soup. I always thought it was a traditional fairy tale. You know, like Grimm or Perrault or Hans Christian Andersen. Though it may have sold darn near as many books as those authors, it was written in 1968 and the author, Ann McGovern, recently died of cancer at the age of 85. Just knowing she is gone . . . well, I shall miss her. I have a love affair with fairy tales—new or old—and with nursery rhymes. Readers of my poetry find allusions to them sprinkled throughout. Now, perhaps I shall write something with at least a nod to Ann and the fairy tale that really wasn’t. Or was. Does a genre ever really die?
