Enter the 'noir' mind of Mike Dennis and you're in another zone, an area where you suspend disbelief. These three entertaining short stories are eerie in inspiration, spare and terse in their language, and brilliantly original in concept. "Block" especially blew my mind. While fresh and original, it had a Rod Serling feel to it that had me humming the theme from The Twilight Zone. I can't wait to read more stories quarried from the dark side of this guy's mind. Move over Stephen King.

I've read the book, and highly recommend it. Mike has a flair for creating characters you feel you know.

I've read Bloodstains on the Wall and highly recommend it. Mike Dennis has the flair for creating characters you know and you suffer through their challenges right along with them.

I've just finished Bloodstains on the Wall - completing it in one session. Dennis's work is fast paced, his characters wonderfully amoral (at best) and the tone is spare, dark - very noir. These stories serve up a fatalistic view of the human condition - a kind of "character as destiny" motif. Entertaining and filled with suspense - I look forward to more from this author.

The provacative little seventy five pager "Bloodstains on the Wall"... lead my proper mindset astray. It has unpredictable twists that gave me a rush. Who knows the abyss of the human mind? Leave it to Mike Dennis. Fast paced, easy read, entertaining and shocking.
